Zemzelett?

So what exactly is a zemzelett? And why is some mook named Franz Johann Dela Merced using it as an online moniker? Read these stats and be enlightened:

HP: 285
MP: 36
Str: 30
Def: 25
Mag: 30
Dex: 58
XP: 70
AP: 7
Gil: 165
Ability: White Wind

Or to put it simply, a zemzelett is one of those random monster species that you slaughter countless numbers of while traversing your typical videogame RPG to rack up money and experience points… Which is why it’s the perfect analogy for the unimpressive, run-of-the-mill nuisance of an online persona that is yours truly. I use this name in the hopes of outgrowing it one day and be an outstanding and unique artist–and person–in my own right.

Did you know that a good handful of other people have already used the ubiquitous zemzelett name? If you encounter someone using this moniker beyond my blog, Youtube account or DeviantArt atelier, then it’s most likely someone else I’ve never met in my life. But while those of us who use the zemzelett name are prolific throughout the Web like so many random monsters, I don’t guarantee that you’d gain any experience points or money after killing us. So don’t even think about it.

The zemzelett in particular appears in Final Fantasy VII and IX as a monster that looks like a cross between an owl and several species of cacti. Interesting stuff!

Monster statistics were derived from the Eternal Legend website and based on the FFVII version.
